I am having brain ache trying to come up with something.
My friend wants me to do her 4 year olds bday cake and incorporate the ribbon she's using in her hair... which is black with pale pink polka dots. Her tutu that she will be wearing is basically just black and pale pink toole... and not the normal tutu you see like on Swan Lake... it's more on the longer side of tutu's I have seen... I almost would just call it a toole skirt instead of tutu.
She was thinking just 2 stacked cakes with the ribbon around them and a ballerina on top. I am not that talented at sculting, especially figures... so I don't think that's gonna happen.
I remember seeing a Princess cake in the Wilton book that I might do that uses cake shape pans and it's the whole body of a Princess, but in this case do a ballerina with a tutu.
Does anybody else have any other creative ideas... my creative juices are just not flowing today.

What about something like this cake using the ribbon she would like to match her daughter's and make the frills match her dress! It would be very cute! Just an idea! I hope it might help get the ideas rolling!

I love the first one you sent cakebaker1978! But since the tutu is more like a long skirt made of tulle I wonder if there's a way I can make it look like that more? Probably have to go fondant route and I don't really want to do that.
