I am looking to get a new mixer. My husband said he is going to use money from our tax refund to buy me a new mixer. I was thinking of getting a KA since everyone loves their KA. I was told to get a good high wattage 500! Best buy has a 600 wattage Wolfgang mixer. Is that a good mixture? The review on it said it was loud and the beaters did not reach the bottom. I am guessing that would cause air bubbles in my buttercream?

any help again... I appreciate! Thanks!!!!

If the beaters don't reach the bottom you're going to constantly have unmixed ingredients at the bottom and your batter or frosting won't mix properly. That's part of the beauty of the KA is that it is designed to just barely miss the edges so everything gets mixed in. I'd get the slightly less powerful KA and enjoy the fact that you don't have to do all the mixing.
