things on cocktail sticks - pineapple, ham, sausages, cheese cubes, small onions.
Black forest gateux
prawn cocktails
individual trifles
whole poached salmon decorated with cucumber to represent scales
ice cream and fruit in tall glasses with sparklers (knickerbocker glories)

Thats all I can think of for now.

didn't everything have Jello in it????
I remember always being served "poke cake" After the cake was baked, it was pierced all over with a spoon handle and prepared jello was poured over it and allowed to cool.I think they sometimes poured pudding over it instead.
