I am making a tiered cake for my husband's nephew as a gift in celebration of their marriage. They got married last August in Atlanta and not everybody from our family in Indiana could be there. So they are having a second party.
Anyways, the cakes are 6",8", 10" and 12", 3" high, vanilla cake with cherry flavored buttercream, covered with white fondant and decorated with black BC details and black satin ribbon.
My problem is to calculate the amount of fondant necessary to cover each cake!! I want to have more then enough in case I have some accidents (I know I probably will!!).
Please, can anyone give me a guide line for fondant. I really appreciate!
TIA
