Being in Canada and new to finding quality ingredients, I would like to find high ratio shortening to order in Canada. I am scared of duty and shipping costs. I read on another website that the WalMart brand and store brands have the trans fat, but boy do they taste bad! I have Wilton butter flavour and too much of that just makes it worse. I am still in the process of finding 'my' kind of icing, I want to be able to have perfectly smooth cakes. So far I actually really like SeriousCakes buttercream recipe, but find it sometimes too soft for me to make other decorations. What else does the Sweetex or other known brands have besides trans fat that makes it different?
Thanks in advance, I am so happy to have found this website! Everyone is so helpful and full of knowledge! icon_smile.gif
