I have always added instant pudding to my cake batter. I love this! Anyway, I have a request for banana cake. I am planning on adding actual mashed banana to my cake mix but I also have a box of "cook and serve" banana pudding mix. Can I add that too? Just not sure if that will affect the overall cake.

Any thoughts on this? I've never made a banana cake before, so this is what I thought I would try.

TIA! icon_smile.gif

I think that if you are adding actual mashed banana into the cake, that the pudding would make it way too moist and dense.

Fresh mashed banana alone makes a super moist and slightly dense cake. I think the pudding added to it would be a little too much. If you do go ahead and add the pudding, I would be interested in how it comes out.

P.S. I ALWAYS add pudding to my batter as well. icon_smile.gif
