I don't know if any of you get the Tast of Home magazine, but this month they had a recipe where you melt hard candy and make cookie cutter stars to put on cupcakes. So.. today I thought I would make my own hard candy and make the stars. Well, I used the LorAnn(SP) flavoring, raspberry, and they turned out to be the most disqusting tasting things I have ever tried.

I was wondering if anybody knows how to do this using something else that is ediable?

I was using a hard candy recipe that I found on Cooks.com, which happened to be the same recipe that was in the flavoring booklet. So I don't know if it was just the flavoring or what. I also used my Americolor sky blue coloring, but the candy turned this awful green black color, which I think is from mixing the flavoring which was a light red color. Maybe I would be okay if I used a raspberry extract?

Any help would be appreciated.
