I am in a pinch, not a paid order but just a couple small cakes. Has anyone ever added to canned icing to make it your own? Kinda like the box cakes with added items....

Truth be told, there have been times where I was just about to run out of my buttercream and I added some canned frosting to stretch it a little. If you add more powdered sugar to canned frosting it will make it stiffer. I don't know about adding anything else.

Thanks msulli10 and indydebi. I added some conf. sugar, vanilla and a little carmel flavoring. I can still tell it is store bought but....it is!

I'm glad someone asked this question, as I was wondering too!
