I was making fudge tonight and got the sugary, marshmallowy mixture on the cook top and it was close enough to the burner that it just crisped up in a nice burnt sugar mess before I could wipe it up.

We tried the glasstop cleaner with the little scrubber pad, but that isn't getting it all up. Does anyone know a trick that doesn't involve a metal spatula and scratchs on the nice, pretty, new stove?

you can try ice, like they do for burned on coffee, then a scraper with a razor blade. We used one on ours with excellent results.

I would try a very hot kitchen towel. Just let it sit on top of the mess kind of like soaking. Then try and see if it loosens up any. icon_biggrin.gif

go to the hardware store and buy yourself a scraper with razor blades it works like a charm and doesn't scratch the flat top surface

I agree with the razor blade suggestion! That is the only thing that gets that baked on stuff off!!
