What do you like? DH wants ideas for what to get me for Christmas. I already have Flour Pot Cookies and Cookie Craft.
Any suggestions welcome!
My daughter found a fabulous cookie book at Barnes/Nobles a couple of years ago. Over 400 cookie recipes. I've got so many post it's in this book, it looks like it's growing feathers! I think it's called "The Biggest Book of Cookies" or something like that.
"Cookie Sensations" by Meaghan Mountford
"Creative Cookies" by Toba Garrett
"Fun Cookie Bouquets" by Autumn Carpenter
Joy of Cooking has an X-mas cookie book that I think is fantastic! Being 'Joy', one knows that all the recipes really are TnT.
Whimsical Bakehouse has an X-mas cookie book, as does RLB.
I like the Joy of Cooking:All about cookies and Joy of Cooking: Christmas cookies books. There are a lot of really good recipes in there!
My favorite of all time is "Rose's Christmas Cookies".
It's got all your classic cookies in there. They even have a recipe for dog bisquits!
It's by Rose Levy Beranbaum, Author of the Cake Bible and Pie & Pastry Bible.
I've made just about everything in it! I'm on my 3rd copy.
Doesn't hurt that my name is also Rose and it is a conversion piece displayed in my kitchen during the Holidays
Best cookie book I own (and I have quite a few) is Great Cookies by Carole Walter. It seems every one is a winner in that book. It's not what you're looking for if you want books about cookie decorating, though. Just delicious, homemade cookie recipes of every kind.
