Is it possible to achieve a dark brown colour in pre-made white fondant?

I've tried to make just a small amount and had to add so much colour gel, and it wasn't really the dark brown I was hoping for. Will I have to just buy some pre-coloured or infact empty a whole jar of colour to make it myself?

Oh wait - you can airbrush the color on the finished product.

Another thought....would adding cocoa powder help with colour enough to be worth the work?

I have made dark brown fondant, but I made it from scratch. I just added about 7 big spoons of cocoa powder, and then icing sugar. Worked like a charm and tasted amazing!!!
