It's Stunning!!!! No I personally wouldn't pay $250 for a cake, but that's why I started making them. icon_twisted.gif Your cake is worth way more than that though! Great Job!

Thank you all!

I did price lower because it was my first cake. I did spend FOREVER ( researching techniques, studying Sugarshacks DVDs.... running to the supply store 5-6 timesicon_smile.gif and precticing airbrushing and stamp techniques for the scroll, flowers) I think about 50 hours went into this cake from conception to delivery (which I INCLUDED in the price.. lol, it was a friend of a friend. And it was about 10 minutes from my house--though i had to avoid railroad tracks, and brick roads so it took me 30... hehe)

I priced it @ $3 a serving plus 25 for the flowers (first time I made them) oh!!!!! Thanks!!! Toedna for your GREAT tutorial!!!!!!!!

Yes I made the flowers, Gumpaste flowers with directions from toedna.Yep I airbrushed. icon_smile.gif

The only thing I regret, I was stacking based of Sugarshacks dirrections and she tells you to frreze them alil. I was worried the AB would get condensation ( I live in humid FL). So I stacked then ABed.... lots of over spray but I managed to control it. That is the reason my bottom teir isn't AS "perfect" icon_smile.gif

I just got my AB and LOVE it... I used Luck's shimmer gold (on white BC) and shimmer ivory( on ivory BC).

Seriously your first wedding cake????? Holy crap!!!! I can't even DO a cake that nice, and I've made several wedding cakes. icon_smile.gif Your cake is gorgeous!!!!!!! $250 is WAY underpriced for a cake like this. A co-worker of my husband ordered a heart shaped cake with BC roses and heart something or 'nother for 75, and that's costing them $400. This is WAY more elegant and beautiful than their cake will be. Congratulations on a wonderful creation!!!!

Rocketgirl,
You rock!!!! That cake is.........I am at a loss of words!!!!! One day when I grow up (I wanna do something like that) Oh at first glance I thought it was fondant until I read further along in the thread. If my buttercream could only look that good. Give yourself a huge pat on the back.

icon_smile.gif Thank you!

I have made other cakes, but this was my first for profit cake.

I must attribute a huge part to religiously following Sugarshacks DVDS!
