Hey does it matter what kind or size of air compressor in order to use an air brush sprayer?

My local hardware department is having a huge sale this week and I was looking at their air compressor... Can I use one of those for air brushing a cake? What size... They range in size from 2 gallons to 30 gallons... They all have pressure guages on them, so what is the best pressure to use them (if I can)?

Are they refillable? How do you refill them? Will they work with the sprayers? Or do I need to buy the ones sold with the sprayers?
