I'm thinking about turning my hobby into a business. Has anyone done this in the Philadelphia area? If so, I would be interested in talking with you. What are the laws around having this sort of business in your home? Thank

I just did this also. If you do a search of the forums, you will find everything you need to know. Also in the articles on the home page, there is one for starting a business and will provide you with the PA link. Basically you need to find out if your local authorities (township, etc)allow it. Just because PA will allow it does not necessarily mean that your local area will. Then fill out the paperwork for the PA Dept of Agriculture and get a home inspection. Once approved, you then should register a name, incorporate, get additional home owners insurance, and open up a work bank acct at a minimum.
Hope this helps.
