Tonight I tried to do my first FBCT (frozen buttercream transfer) and it was a mess. Since it was just practice, I spelled out my name in old english font. It looked awesome up until I put the icing over the back to cover over the design. My design wasn't watery. It was fully crusted. When I took the design out of the freezer it was all mushed and letters were running into each other. Did I make it too thick? Are you not supposed to use the fbct for words that are detailed? I need some advice please. Thank you in advance!!

I've done very detailed with them, so I don't think that is the issue.

When you put the icing on the back do you maybe press too hard and move your orginal piping around? Did you pipe it on or spread it?
