I am using some new plunger cutters. The edges are not smooth. Any ideas about what I am doing wrong? I am using fondant by the way. icon_smile.gif

Sometimes this happens to me too. I cut the fondant and pick up the cutter while the fondant is still in the cutter and run my fingertips around the edge of the shape. Then when I push it out the edges are even.

Alternatively you can shave off the rough edges with an exacto knife.

I always dip the end of the plunger cutter into just a very little cornstarch. It keeps it from sticking and usually pops right out for me.
