Can you freeze cream cheese frosting?

With the cream cheese in the frosting I know it has to be refrigerated so what do you tell brides? I know the cake will be sitting out for several hours. Will this harm the icing?

It doesn't harm the icing to sit out for a few hours and I always think CC icing tastes so much better at room temp. There's something about the amt. of sugar added in CC icing that stabilizes the icing. Don't worry. I recently did a wedding with 400 CC iced red velvet cupcakes and they sat out for hours and no one got ill icon_smile.gif. As far as freezing not sure.... At home we have even allowed a CC iced cake to sit out, covered of course, on the counter for a couple of days...once again no illnesses, but bride should refrigerate leftovers just to be sure!
