Can you slice strawberry's and use them between layers of strawberry cake? Will they go bad, I am going to do this about 4 hours before the cake is going to be devoured. I am doing ganache over bc and I'm assuming I need to cool the ganache before applying? Any other ideas appreciated also. Thanks CC Membersssssss!

My wedding cake had fresh strawberries between the layers. I think 4 hours of strawberries sitting in a cake will be absolutely fine.
