I normally make my own fondant, but I am going to take a few shortcuts and try the ready made stuff. For a good Christmas red and a dark chocolate, do you prefer Satinice or Chocopan. Can you add flavorings to it and should you add Tylose to it if you want to make flowers??
Thanks for your opinions.

I would recommend using Satin Ice and not flavoring it. There is no need to. It has a very nice flavor - vanilla, and it goes with just about any cake and filling flavor. The red and chocolate are nice rich colors and you will be very happy with them. I consider Satin Ice to be one of the better fondants because of the flavor and the color selection. It's quite versatile, too. I use other fondants in addition to Satin Ice, but I use more Satin ice than anything else. My customers love it.
