I have a wedding cake coming up on Saturday, 3 wks ago i ordered a bunch of pearls online, i just got an email the other day saying sorry they were out of stock, i'm not very happy about it. I don't have time to order more before the wedding and there are no cake supply stores anywhere near me, so i am going to make my own using Earlene's directions.

Can i use MMF? or do i need to use regular fondant? I'd much rather use MMF i just don't know if it will harden up like i need it to.

I always use MMF and have had no problems. If you want them to harden in a hurry just leave them exposed to the air. They won't get rock hard like a gumpaste pearl icon_smile.gif

Add some tylose to your fondant - it will harden more successfully.
