So i get an order for a 90 yr old lady, they dont want pastel colours, and they dont want primary, like on a kids cake, but they want jewel tones, what colours would you use for that? Im doing the cake like the other one i did for a 90yr old but now i need to come up with 3-4 colours, any suggestions?

Could this possibly be achieved by using normal colors then using luster dust on them to make them appear jewel toned? icon_confused.gif Never have done it therefor I don't know. Probably wasn't much help. Sorry. icon_redface.gif

Well, "jewel tones" are specifically rich colors that resemble that of precious and semi-precious stones. So, some suggestions would be

ruby red
amethyst purple
topaz yellow
emerald green
sapphire blue

How to actually achieve these colors is yet another story... icon_smile.gif
