ok so all parents have to pick what they want to bring to the kids halloween party and all that was left was cookies so i was like fun I finally get to do some. This is my 1st tiem doing cookies for someone besides my kids.

Which is your favorite to put on them?
Royal icing, rolled buttercream, color flow, regular buttercream, or fondant?

I like using royal icing myself, but you will be getting so many different answers on this one as it's seems to be a matter of taste and over finished look.

This is kind of the "TASTES GREAT - LESS FILLING" arguement. GOOD LUCK! Because I do both. Depends what you like.

I am partial to RI and really recomment Antonia74's Royal Icing recipe here on CC if you haven't tried it yet. Happy baking!
