Could some one help me I am just trying to start a cake decorationg buisness
I have the cake making part down. But I struggle knowing how much to charge. I usually just make my cakes for frinds for free.

I have an accquantiance who want me to make her a fondant cake for her wedding serving 50 people how much should I charge? and what is that actual cake size that will serve 50 people as I always make to much. If someone can help me I will be so thankful

for serving sizes, I follow earlene's cake serving chart. A 10in, 8in and 6in round should give you enough servings if they're not saving their top tier.

as for pricing, it always depends on your area. I would try calling around to the local cake shops including grocery store type places and see what they charge per serving. I have flat charges for sheet cakes and then I charge per serving on tiered cakes.
