I am making the recipe I found on here for heavenly Pumpkin Spice Cake. It calls for 1 4oz instant pudding mix.........would I prepare the pudding and then add or do you think I should just add the powder?? Has anyone tried this recipe? icon_smile.gif

I haven't tried it but I would say you mix in the dry stuff

I would say just the powder, most recipes will state prepared pudding if that is how it should be done, and the word mix tells me just the mix {AKA powder}

whenever i have recipes that call for pudding mix you usually just have to put in the powder. if it calls for prepared pudding then you make the mix first. hope this helps =)

Hi! I have not tried this recipe, but when one calls for a box of pudding, blend the dry pudding in with the dry cake mix. Then follow the rest of the instructions, adding the wet ingredients, etc. Hope this helps! (The recipe sounds yummy! Although I'm a scratch baker, I think I might just have to try this one, too!) icon_razz.gif

Please let us know how it turned out! icon_smile.gif

I would say you mix in the dry stuff ( powder ) It would say if you needed to mix it first.

I made this a few weeks ago, and it's GREAT!

Mix it in straight from the box---dry powder.
