Ok, so after seeing all the beautiful cakes on here with the sugar flowers, I decided that I have to learn, so here is my first rose. It is not perfect, but I am so happy. Any critiques are welcome as well as any tips!!!!! Thanks for looking!

Looks good, certainly very good for a first try.

Only comment, if you make the center a bit more pointed and enclose it with two petals, overlapping, it will look more natural. then continue as you have.

Wow! Good job. It is really pretty. The only thing I would do differently is on the center petals, bring them up so you can't see the core. You just want a tiny opening. It is really pretty though. You should have seen My first rose. I threw it away in a hurry before anyone could see it. LOL. Congratulations.

Thanks for the tips, I will definately do that. I have to make about 25 roses for a cake this week, so I will post th pics when I get them done! Thanks Again

Well you did amazing for your first rose and by the end of the 25 and with work like this you will be a rose pro in no time!
