I just got my airbrushing kit and I am wanting to know if I can mix wilton colors and water for the paint???
please help???

you don't want to clog it up....i've done that in a cake emergency when the customer was coming in a few minutes and i was out of airbrush color....but i took it apart and cleaned it really good after.

No no, you will end up with clumps which will stop up the airbrush. Americolor makes some airbrush colors in many different colors. They are a liquid, fluid color.

what everyone else said. You have to buy airbrush colors.

I mix wilton and vodka and it works well for me. I would NOT use water, that will gunk up your cake. Use vodka or another alcohol so that it evaporates. Be sure it is quite thin or you will clog your airbrush and it won't spray nicely. I only use airbrush colors for black and red. I guess I am a bad girl. icon_smile.gif I have a badger, though, so it is not strictly made for cake decorating. I also mix luster dust and sparkle dust with vodka. HTH.
