I have been asked to make a cake for a education trust fund dinner and dance for a friend of mine that dying of cancer and the fund is for his kids. I am making 12x18 cake and was thinking of putting a pic of the family on the centre of the cake with fondant roses around the pic. If you have an ideas that are better than this please let me know. I find it hard to make a cake that will be fun yet honour the family.
Thanks Sue

Sue---

Would it be tacky to put little chocolate awareness ribbons around the sides of the cake...You could use white chocolate colored with the type of cancer awareness as a way of honoring him and what he and his family are going through.

I love the picture idea. What if you framed it in a heart shape with the roses around the heart?

I love the idea of the heart but where do I get that ribbon. He has brain cancer. Do they have a ribbon for that type of cancer?
Thanks
