hello,
Does anyone know how to achieve the color of dried blood? It is almost a black/red... This is not a morbid request. This is the only way I can describe this color. It's like red but as seen in the shadows...
I am coloring fondant. This red isn't quite Ruby Red or Burgundy... it's very rich. I know there is black in there somewhere.

can anyone please help? Or get me as close as you can? I'd really appreciate it...

thanks so much~ icon_smile.gif

All I can say is 'TRIAL & ERROR'. I would start with red and then add some black in and got back and forth. I had to do the same thing yesterday to get pumpkin orange. And the bad thing was that I needed enough to cover a pumpkin cake; my hands were so tired afterwards from kneading it!

I agree with the above! Red, black, and brown should eventually get you what you want. I'd love to see pictures when it's done! icon_smile.gif
