Can You Pipe With Chocolate Ganache?

Just wondering... can you pipe with chocolate ganache? If so, would I just use less cream to make it a little more of a thicker consistency?

Yes, you can pipe with the ganache & yes, just make it thicker icon_biggrin.gif

Yes indeed you can, I did a basketweave with the stuff! (Diaper caddy cake in my gallery if you care to see).

Be aware, if you use a high % of cocoa like I like to do (like, 65-70%) the ganache gets really firm really fast, I had to warm it up every few minutes, as when it was room temp it was actually not soft enough to pipe. I used the standard recipe, I did not use less cream to make it thicker. For milk choc. ganache I would expect you would HAVE to use less cream, that stuff didn't get firm for me at all.
