Hello All: I am a big fan of cake freezing, I just can't do it all in one day. However, I'm finding my cakes lose their shape (not quite totally round) when i wrap them in the saran. How can I prevent this Thanks!!

Dont' wrap it so tight.

I stretch the saran out over the counter; I sit the cake on TOP of the saran; then I pull the saran up and over the cake loosely. I find I'm not pulling it as tight as you would if you are pulling and tucking the saran UNDER the cake, as opposed to pulling it up OVER the cake.

When you put it in the freezer, create a single layer. Don't put a cake on top of a package of hamburger or even on top of another cake unless the bottom cake is totally frozen.

I'll give wrapping from the bottom up a try. Thanks!
