I'm going to move in about 6 months, and would really like to work full time as a Cake decorator. I'm building up my portfolio and working now at a bakery and PT Graphic Design stuff (so that I can live).
My questions are.....What do you look for in Cake Decorators? How often are you hiring? Do you typically throw away resumes that are sent to you unsolicited?
I'm just trying to get some inside information, so that I will be fully prepared once I move and I'm looking for work. I eventually want to open my own cake shop, but am not very experienced in running a business, and want some experience first.
