I am making a cake for my friends son's first birthday, its the weekend of Halloween so she wants a Halloween themed cake.

Anyone have any ideas? I can't come up with anything that would suit a 1st birthday for a little boy.

How 'bout a "Monster Mash" cake? You could have little kiddie monsters with their trick-or-treat bags or something. That would be cute!

I would keep it light; no skeletens, ghosts, or spiders.........more autumn than hallowe'en.
Use ice cream cones to make hay stackes (cover w/tip 67(or so) long leavesmix yellow, orange, green, brown - start at bottom & pull them up); make a few mini pumpkins....use 1/2 eggs &/or 1/2 balls put together.
This could all be put on top of a 'base' cake....maybe in orange w/black webbing all around.
With A very quick pruse of the halloween gallery I found these ideas that might help you.
