You all are such a good resource. I just know that you can help.

My niece is getting married to a gentleman from Amsterdam. I would like to surprise them with a second cake that would be something traditional from his country. I'm making the main cake and it is going to be very traditional by American standards.

I just thought it would be a nice gesture and a way to welcome him to the family.

how about a windmill or a pair of clogs.

I made one for a couple and used the dark blue icing as accents and had a windmill with a bride and groom on top. I was able to incorporate tulips as well. The couple were absolutley thrilled.
