I just finished DH's birthday cake for this year... It is not my best cake, but it's not too bad for being a navy blue and white Penn state cake. He's an alum, a fanatic, and his birthday is tomorrow - the same day as their conference opener, so I really had no choice on the subject of the cake, LOL! And DH doesn't like powdered sugar BC, the kind that I have perfected smoothing on. Really this cake was a disaster throughout the whole process, and I wasn't all that happy with it...

But then I found a picture of the cake that I made for him 2 years ago. Last year's was so bad I didn't even save a picture! They were both before I ever took a decorating class, and I was proud of how "well" the cake form 2 years ago turned out.

Please look and have a giggle with me...

I had to stop myself from deleting the picture of that cake from 2 years ago... I think it will help me on days like today when I feel like everything is going wrong, and my cake looks "horrible". Perspective is a wonderful thing! icon_wink.gif

With each cake you'll see yourself improve. Afterall you have CC on your side. Keep it up and don't delete any cake pictures it is always nice to have a record.
