Hi! This is my first post!! I love this forum and have learned lots of cool tricks from CC!

I am doing a Fall cake for a friend. I am doing the basket type cake with the Autumn leaves on top of it.

I am making the leaves out of fondant and wondered the best way to color them!! I saw a picture of one on here.. The leaves were in different colors.. reds, browns..

If I used food coloring would it give the MMF too much moisture???

Thanks in advance for your help! icon_biggrin.gif

First of all, welcome to CC. You will quickly become addicted, as I recently did! icon_biggrin.gif

I, too, have learned and continue learning from all of the fabulous decorators here. I love it, when someone asks a question that I get to help out with (I feel like I can return the favor and pay it forward, so to speak)!

As far as coloring fondant, you can use paste or gel colors for fondant. I wouldn't use liquid food coloring. Wilton's makes a coloring that is easily found (even at wal-mart in the craft section). It isn't the best (Americolor is the best, I think) but it works for most things that I do.
