Are you making two layers and putting them together w/filling for a 4" tall cake?
What size(s) are the sqs? The smaller the sq the taller it will look.........same w/roundsicon_smile.gif
Look at a 6"x4" cake compared to a 12"x4"....you would definately think the 6" is taller icon_smile.gif

To be sure you get a full 2" heigth when baking each layer of cake fill the pan 2/3rds full of batter...
that would be 1 & 1/2" of batter.
