I'm not even sure if that is the right name for what I'm talking about. Those things that you stick on the cake that looks like they are silver wire and then some decoration at the end. How do you do that? Do you make your own? Where would you get the wire that is thin yet strong enough to hold a piece of gum paste of fondant?

I use the flower wire you get at craft stores its differnt gauge i use 21 gauge its the strongest , there was a post on here the other day some people bend it like a fish hook, but ive never had any problems with them sliding i usally make my decorations i did stars last time and while the fondant or gum paste is still wet i slide them up the wire and let them dry on the wire i lay them down to do this then when i go to set the cake up i add them on last
