Hello everyone
I have a problem..
I use royal icing to decorate my cookies. First I do the surface and after it waits at least 12 hrs I do the detail decorating to the very top. But after a while the colors mix What I mean is that , if the surface is red for exapmple when I put white stripes , after a while that white becomes reddish in some parts..

Is this normal or is there any tips to prevent it?

Thanka very much

I find the colors bleed into each other if one has too much water added when thinning, but if you are waiting 12 hours before adding the different color, I am at a loss as to why that would happen. Sorry I can't be of any more help.

I get the same thing, and it's frustrating! I just wrote names with black on orange cookies last night, and I'm scared to look at them! I was thinking that toba's glace didn't bleed as bad last time, but I'll let you know my results when I look at my cookies today.
BTW, I always put mine in airtight container to dry, (want to keep cookies fresh) wonder if that condributes to the bleeding. Anyone?
