Hi everyone,
I've been thinking about making a candy corn cake, but want it to taste like candy corn...I don't think melting the candy would work...appreciate any ideas!

Thanks! icon_biggrin.gif

I know that the main ingredient in candy corn is honey so maybe you could experiment icon_biggrin.gif

When I make MMF, if I use cream bouquet flavor, it tastes like candy corn.

I would think just butter flavor combined with the sugar sweetness would be close...

I did this last year using the WASC recipe. I omitted the almond extract and added somewhere between 1/2 cup and 3/4 cup of ground up Candy Corn. I put it in the food processor and made it in to a powder. Tasted pretty good. Had a lot of compliments on it.

I also found this recipe for homemade Vegan Candy Corn. I don't know how it tastes, I never made it but at least it is a guideline of what is in Candy Corn. You can always experiment! http://theurbanhousewife.blogspot.com/2007/09/homemade-vegan-candy-corn-happy.html

Good Luck!

I just made rolled buttercream with the Butter Vanilla flavoring, and it tastes exactly like candy corn.
