I have a few projects in the future that I would like to use gumpaste in. I've never worked with it so I figured I better start now and experiment before the time comes. Does anyone have a recipe?? I saw the Wilton container of gumpaste mix but it looked like I had to add other foreign ingredient type things to it. Is there a simple way?? Also how long does it last (before using)? Thanks!!

The Wilton gumpaste is a mix and you just add water. It is good for the first time using gumpaste but I use Nicholas Lodge's recipe for gumpaste. I'll try to find it and post it. But like I said for your first time with gumpaste, try wilton, it is a no-mistake mix since all you add is water.

It will last forever once it's dry and if you keep it well sealed it will last quite a while before use too!
