I noticed on last night's (9/18/0 Ace of Cakes episode that they used tier supports which were green and appeared to be plastic. Who makes those? Are they better than wooden dowels? Where to buy?
Any info you can provide would be great. Thanks! Carol
you mean on the Lincoln Memorial cake??? they were bubble tea straws, they come in lots of colors they're the same ones they give you at Burger King with the oreo shake sundae thing mmmmmm......anyhow, there are tons of places online that you can order them from but they also carry them in a lot of asian food markets if you have any of those in your area?
I noticed those, too. I already use straws, but those look much sturdier.
Thanks for posting this and thanks for the info!
Those had to be straws - did you notice h ow easily they were cut?
I've never see a bubble straw but have used those nice fat straws like McD and many other places have.
I saw how easy they were to cut too!! I'll have to give them a day in court, cutting the wooden one's is such a pain and I can never get them all exact. Cutting a straw seems a lot eaiser! Thanks for the info
I am going to sound like Leah (Which isnt a bad thing! ) GO SPS!!!! It is very cheap for a fool-proof support system!!!! I am so happy I never have to buy another dowel of any kind again!!!
