Can I Use Witon Candy Melt Colurs For Fondant?

Ineed to make lilac but i dont have a lilac food colour to colour my white fondant but i do have it in the wilton candy melts gel colour do you think i could use this to colour my fondant? or should i mix red and blue together to make a light purple and use this instead?

I'm not sure, but here's a bump. The candy colors are oil-based pigments, and the colors usually used for frostings/fondants are water-based. Try a tiny bit and see how it reacts? Maybe an expert will wake up soon icon_lol.gif
