With halloween comming up I'm excited to see all the great creations from CC. What has been your most favorite/scary/gorey creations?

I made these last night. This is only the second time I've done halloween stuff. I'm looking forward to having fun this year making lots of scary treats.

I made this cake last year. It was only the second cake I had ever made, and I was so thrilled with how it turned out. This year I'm working on a HUGE Halloween town cake (5 feet x 2 feet) for a party. It seems my ideas and ambitions are always so much grander than my actual talents. Luckily no one really complains about free cake!

Halloween time is my favorite holiday! Keep these pics coming as I LOVE seeing everyones! Unfortunately, I don't end up 'baking' a lot during this time as much as I make all the creepy foods!

My kids won't eat at my house on April Fools day or Halloween! Love it!!!

I made this one years ago, but she's still one of my favorites- a perfectly ugly halloween witch from a Wilton pan.

fiddle~ yours turned out great! I love making these too! I also use the whole almonds (not just the slices) and paint them red with food color and place them on the green witches fingers.

Oh, I love Halloween!!!! I have so many recipes for so many gross things I've made my poor family eat (it tasted great, just looked gross).

Nose blow burritos were fun too. Shape a tortilla (warmed up) and fill with mashed refried bean (warm) and then shape the burrito into a standing up nose shape. Poke holes in the bottom (like your nose) and shoot in some salsa a bit into the nose holes and a bit on the plate to resemble a bloody nose. Make a scar on the burrito with food coloring as well. And then serve on the side a small package of individual kleenex.

Kitty litter cake is fun to make for dessert too (in my gallery). I'd attach it but I'm not on my computer.

Just through the weekend. But a good weekend as it's Homecoming. Angus (my Junior in high school) will be playing the football game on Friday night, his girlfriend is the Junior Princess, and all my kids (if I pick up one from college) will be home for the game. Then the dance is on Saturday. Dinner went wonderful expect for a minor difficult relative, but it's been quite a wonderful week with him.

that's going to be my new slogan, lol - because I feel the same way...I always have this grand plan of how I will do a cake...and usually at the last minute talk myself out of even attempting it b/c of the time constraints...so I'll end up with an ordinary cake and ofcourse be disappointed...

but that's an awesome cake!
