Can I Get Royal Icing Off Of Fondant Without Causing Damage?

They are two different colors and I am nervous to start picking several (or more) drops that spilled when I had a hole in the piping bag...I didn't notice it at first and then I didn't want to smear it, so I let it dry hoping there is a way to remove it later.
It should come off. You may get a tiny hole but you can just pinch the whole together and smooth it. It you are nervous about taking it off could you cover it with a flower or what ever your theme is?
Jen...
If the color stays then rub it with a q tip dipped in vodka, then dry it with aother q tip. Works great!
I usually use a damp papertowel with water. I was told using extract would make it stay on. Havent tried vodka though.

I dont use water as it tends to melt the fondant a little and leave a mark.
i was piping blacak royal on white fondant and the vodka and Q-tip worked amazing!!
I was stressed as its for a wedding today!
thanks so much, thank god for Cake Central Members!
Ditto on the vodka/qtip thing! I tried my first stenciled cake today (black RI on white fondant) and it worked like a charm!
