I have a 10" round metal pan that I picked up at goodwill! It is nesting set...For $2(great deal) except the fact that they do not brown the cake sides and bottom...I know you can buy those strips that go around the pans...My question is can you do the same thing will strips of Aluminum Foil?? I was thinking about doing it to try it but thought I would ask first!! I was going to take a piece of foil and fold it the same height as the pan...And for those of you who do use the strips how well do they work??? Thanks I would just hate to invest in it and it just be so so...Also do you have any other tips on getting it to brown?? Thanks A TON!!!!!! Mandie

As long as it is 'cooked' I wouldn't worry about the browning part.....some folks even cut off the brown part...I can't see what difference it makes as it is all covered in icing anyhow!
