We have all the information now. What we do with it is up to an individual. Can we now close this post and not let it go any further?

So wait, what's the problem? The dusts and sprays used to color cakes isn't "food safe"? Or what? icon_confused.gif

Many products are marketed with something(profit?) in mind & not comsumer health & safety. Many products contain ingredients that are o.k.'d for consumption/use but have risks. Even health & beauty products have many ingredients that I refuse to put on my body. I don't use any kinds of propellents. I like being fully informed. That is what the op intended with sharing the information with us. I certainly appreciate it. I know some folks who wont eat blue stuff beacuse the blue is derived from trace amounts of lead-a known brain toxin. I don't use fluoride-a known industrial waste. But many people do. Many people get alzheimer's too.
It's all in being informed & knowing your risks.
nglez-if you read the 1st post it has the safety/warning info that is given with use of the preval. It doesnt have anything to do with the dusts but the propellents.

I agree with Shirley. Someone was nice enough to go out of their way to pass information. Use the information the way you want to, and to your comfort level. But please, be nice.

And oh yeah......Good night.

Thanks to BlakesCakes for posting this information! thumbs_up.gif

As has been said, not that you have all the information, it is up to each individual baker to decide what to do with that information.

If an individual chooses to ignore the disclosures made by the manufacturer, that is each person's choice.

I have locked the thread as the important information has been provided and some of the posts are starting to turn the tone of the thread.
