I need help thinking of an innovative way to decorate a strawberry short cake. (Not the cartoon character.)

Any ideas? I've tried looking in the gallery but nothing really popped.

Thanks

Well, this is what I do... I cut all of the Strawberries in half long way and then I have them all going in the same direction on top of the cake and then I drizzle melted choc. all over it... It is a big hit...

I have one in my gallery. I do scrolls on the sides, a leaf border on top, bead border at the bottom and top with glazed strawberries.

You could either stack three layers with the whipped cream and berries showing through the sides, and then garnish with whipped cream from a large star tip and strawberry slices...

Or if you are icing the entire cake, ice it in whipped cream, comb the sides, put a nice large alternate swirled shell border on the top and bottom...then garnish the top with whipped cream and fresh berries.
