So I posted this cake earlier today. It was for an engagement party that I also attended as a guest. I really loved the "suede" appearance i was able to achieve with some food coloring diluted in vodka and applied with some balled up seran wrap. I also got alot of compliments on the suede look. But to my embarrassment, I soon notice that some of the guests had blue tongues! I really tried to avoid overdoing the color but it still came through.

Anyone have any other suggestions on how to achieve this look without leaving guests with colored tongues and lips????
