What is the trick to making tall roses? Mine look like cabbages no matter what I do.

TIA

How do you mean "tall"? As in the stems or as in the way the petals form?

Start the 1st row of petals slightly above your center. Open up the petals as you add next rows. What I mean when I say "open up" is drop the back of your decorator bag as you add rows of petals. Also make sure you arch each individual petal. Practice......Practice.......Practice

Yea.. practice is the key to making roses. or anything really.

Heres a link i found that has about 10 videos on how to make all sorts of roses.

i just watched these all day and practiced with a wad of play doh. Lots of different techniques by different people.

good fun, and good luck!
