I was wondering if you trim off the top and bottom brown crust on all your cake layers? If you level the top then that would cut off the browned crust but do you also cut off the bottom brown crust? It just seems like a lot of waste but when cutting I want my cakes to look nice without a brown line in between the layers.

If I need to I take off the tops only.

Ditto, unless I'm carving something. icon_smile.gif
